Terms & Conditions

Waiheke Executive Transport appreciate the opportunity of submitting quotations for hire together with our standard terms and conditions of hire which ensure you as the hirer are protected, and that the best interests of both parties are catered for.

Booking Policy

A Non-refundable 25% deposit is required to secure a booking. Balance payment is payable 10 day before the service.

A Credit card number may be required for bookings. Credit card may be charged after the event in situations where (but not limited to) time change with late notice, extra passengers transported & soiling fees. 

Payment Policy

  • Bank Transfer. Bank Account Details will be emailed to you with invoice.
  • Debit or credit card payments may be made as secure payment through stripe. Stripe accepts payment by visa, MasterCard, apple pay, google pay, American Express, union pay, JCB.
    Please Note: Payment made by Stripe will incur additional bank fees of 2.7% +NZ$0.3 for Domestic cards & 3.7% + NZ$0.30 for international cards +2% if currency conversion is required. Please inform us immediately if you intend paying by Debit or Credit Card for inclusion on the invoice. A Link of the Stripe payment will be emailed to you. No Stripe account is required by the hirer.

Soiling & Damage Policy

The hirer is liable for a cleaning fee of $300 minimum (up to $1000  maximum) if the vehicle is soiled during the hire. 

Cancellations Policy

  • If Transport is cancelled the deposit paid is non-refundable
  • If Transport is cancelled after the full payment has been received and prior to 10 days before the date of transport 75% will be refunded.
  • If Transport is cancelled after full payment has been received and between 10 days and 48 hours before the date of transport 50% will be refunded.
  • If Transport is cancelled after full payment has been received and 48 hours or less before the date of transport no refund will be given.

Account Holders Cancellations Policy

  • If Transport is cancelled prior to 24 hours before the date of transport no charges will apply. Exceptions may apply during peak periods or events.
  • If Transport is cancelled less than 24 hours before the date of transport full charges may apply at the discretion of Waiheke Executive Transport.
  • If the group miss the ferry or arrive on a different day an additional fee may be due.

Journey Times

The Company does not guarantee to complete any journey in a given time, and accepts no responsibility or liability for additional costs, any loss, or inconvenience caused by delays or unusual circumstances which are out of our control. The company reserves the right to substitute alternative equipment at its option in the event of unanticipated circumstances which necessitate a change.

Alcohol & Smoking Policy

  • Alcohol & Smoking is not permitted in any vehicle. 
  • Section 9, Subsection 3 of the smokefree environment and Regulated Products Act 1990 states “No person may smoke or vape in a passenger service vehicle.”
  • Section 38 of Summary Offences Act 1981 states “Every person is liable to a fine not exceeding $300 who, in or on any aircraft, hovercraft, ship or ferry or other vessel, train, or vehicle that is carrying passengers for reward, drinks any intoxicating liquor: or supplies or offers any intoxicating liquor”.
  • Based on the above statements, the company must enforce this with a policy banning the consumption of alcohol in all our vehicles. 
  • If a passenger consumes alcohol, smokes or uses a vaping device in transit, the transfer will be immediately terminated.

Force Majeure

Except where otherwise expressly stated in these booking conditions, we regret that we cannot accept liability or pay any compensation where the performance of our contractual obligations is prevented or affected by reason of circumstances amounting to “force Majeure”. In these booking conditions, ‘force majeure’ means any event which we or the supplier of the service(s) in question could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. Such events may include war or threat of war, riots, civil strife, terrorist activity, industrial dispute, natural or nuclear disaster, adverse weather conditions, fire and all smaller events outside our control.

Use of Photos

We take the data privacy of our travellers and guests very seriously and are committed to abiding by the associated governing laws. Please be notified that from time to time our photographer may organise group photo opportunities as part of trip experiences. Such photos may be shared to our company social media channels such as Facebook, Instagram, X(twitter), or LinkedIn. We will not share the image with anyone for any use other than for company promotion. Please remove yourself from the group photos organised by the photographer if you choose not to participate.
